About SJCS
Established in 2009, Saint Jude Catholic School is one of the premier parochial schools in the Peoria area. We focus on one primary mission: forming young leaders who are in love with Jesus Christ and are prepared to tackle the future challenges of this world. SJCS offers a Christ-centered, student-focused community that enriches the whole child while fostering academic excellence.
What makes Saint Jude different?
Academic Excellence
Saint Jude Catholic School strives to challenge every student academically so they are better prepared to serve their parish and local communities in the future. Our curriculum is rooted in the Catholic faith, focuses on academic excellence, and aims to create lifelong learners.
Our Focus on Faith Formation
Spiritual growth and faith formation are central focus areas for each student at SJCS. As part of their spiritual life, students participate in religion classes, daily prayer, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, weekly all-school Masses, weekly Eucharistic adoration, and sacrament preparation.
Developing the Whole Child
In order to develop and nurture the whole child, SJCS offers a wide range of clubs, extracurricular activities, and athletic teams to our students. From altar serving and Scholastic Bowl to cross country and cheerleading, students have many different opportunities to discover their interests.
The Dominican Influence
The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, is a teaching Order of sisters who are considered by many to be the best teaching community in the United States. A staple of our SJCS community, the Sisters are vibrant, joyful, and passionate about developing students through Catholic education.
